Letters that were signed and circulated among The Beatles in the late-1960s that foretold their imminent breakup can be yours if you've got the disposable income to pay.
The documents together detail the dissonant business relationship among the four Beatles, and record the hiring and then firing of their lawyers Lee and John Eastman.
The earliest letter, dated January 1969, which is signed by all four Beatles, informs John Eastman that he is being retained as the band's lawyer.
Another letter, dated April 18, 1969, is addressed to Paul McCartney's lawyer Lee Eastman, the father John Eastman and McCartney's future wife, Linda Eastman. It informs Lee that he and his company are "not authorized to act or hold yourself out as the attourney or legal representative of 'The Beatles.'"
It is signed by John Lennon, Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr) and George Harrison.
Lennon, Starr and Harrison ditched the Eastmans to hire Rolling Stones manager Allan Klein to handle their contracts going forward. McCartney refused to sign the management contract with Klein but was outvoted on the matter.
The Beatles broke up the following year.
The April letter, which is dubbed the "split letter," sold for the equivalent of $63,000 at auction in 2005.
This time around, the asking price for the letter is $325,000. The January letter is for sale for $225,000.
