Today, we celebrate the birthday of, Bruce Kulick, who of course is best known for his time as the lead guitarist for KISS! Bruce carved a place for himself in rock history in 1984 when he joined KISS when they looked to stay relevant during the 80's Hair-Metal years. Bruce debuted on "Asylum" in 1985, but solidified his place within the KISS family, with "Crazy Nights". He helped give Kiss their most successful post makeup album in, "Revenge" and remained a main cog in the band's songwriting, even when Peter Criss and Ace Frehly came back for the reunion album Psycho Circus.
After KISS, he created Union with former Motley Crue singer John Corabi, until the 200's when he joined up with Grand Funk Railroad. Kulick’s contribution to the world of rock, as a member of KISS, not only helped carry keep the torch alive for the band, but kept them musically relevant at a time when the music scene could have passed them by.
Happy Birthday, Bruce! Keep rocking!
