While Journey has yet to announce another full-scale tour since their 2020 plans were canceled, the band resumed live performances last month with a set at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom (their first performance in nearly 18 months) and a headlining slot at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival.

Journey will be on the East Coast this weekend for a show at the Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City and a double-duty day on August 21. The band will perform both the 'We Love NYC' homecoming concert at Central Park and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's 'Never Forget' benefit concert to honor and support victims of the 9/11 terror attacks.

The band is also slated to headline the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on September 18.

After splitting with longtime bassist Ross Valory and drummer Steve Smith last year, Journey has revamped its live lineup as it irons out its forthcoming new album.

Guitarist and founder Neal Schon recently told Q104.3 New York's QN'A that the new album will likely arrive early next year. Right now, the band is focusing on its upcoming shows, enjoying being back onstage.

"I’m really excited about just getting back onstage and playing in front of live audiences after all this downtime," Schon said. "We only played a few shows in Vegas, like a year-and-a-half ago, but the year before we took off. So it’s been a while. Luckily enough I’ve been doing this a while, so I didn’t have to go back in and relearn what I had played."

Journey will be performing at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas this September. Fans can tune in to watch the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival via an exclusive livestream on The CW App and CWTV.com. The festival will also be broadcast live on iHeartMedia radio stations throughout the country across more than 150 markets. Additionally, the CW Network will broadcast a two-night television special on Saturday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 3rd from 8-10pm ET/PT. Tickets are currently on sale via AXS.com.
