In addition to looking at crucial moments from Queen's incredible career, the band's 50-part Queen The Greatest YouTube series will also explore the contributions of each band member to the band's luminous catalog.
This week's episode takes a closer look at five famous Queen songs penned by drummer Roger Taylor.
Taylor was the author of mid-'70s live staples like "Sheer Heart Attack" and "I'm in Love With My Car," as well several of the band's biggest '80s hits, like 1984's "Radio Ga Ga," which hit No. 1 in 19 countries and 1986's "A Kind of Magic."
By 1989's The Miracle, the four members of Queen equally shared songwriting credit, but the members freely highlighted Taylor's significant contributions to that album, including on hits like "Invisible Man" and "Breakthru," as well as the poignant ballad "These Are the Days of Our Lives," which was released short after Mercury's death in 1991.
