Cleveland Cavaliers player Kevin Love and his longtime girlfriend, Sports Illustrated model Kate Bock, are engaged.
The pair announced their engagement in separate Instagram posts on Sunday (January 31).
“‘Souls tend to go back to who feels like home,’” Love quoted, calling Bock, “My Fiancé. The Joy of My Life.”
The post drew nearly 200,000 likes as of Monday afternoon (February 1), and congratulatory comments, including from former Cavs teammates LeBron James and Tristan Thompson.
Even Brewnuts, Cleveland’s donuts and beer shop, congratulated the couple.
“Well, this was the best birthday surprise I could have ever imagined,” the model wrote. “I couldn’t be happier to have been asked to be a Love by my love. 🤍🤍🤍 Heart bursting all day & night.”
Bock dished about the engagement ring to People after Love popped the question.
"I wasn't involved in the ring design at all. Kevin did it all himself," she told the publication. "It's gorgeous. I couldn't love it more! It's a vintage diamond cut from the 1930s for Cartier and it's set in a very chic vintage Cartier setting."
Love "worked with a brilliant jeweler out of London and put together my perfect ring," Bock added. "I was in total shock when I saw it. I just jumped up from my seat."
