Frank Siller Of The Stephen Siller Tunnel To Tower Foundation

This is the 9/11 story of Frank Siller, Chairman, and CEO of The Stephen Siller Tunnel To Tower Foundation. Frank is the oldest brother of Stephen Siller, one of 343 New York City firefighters who died at The World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Stephen was just 35 when he died and left behind his wife Sally and five children: Genevieve, Katherine, Olivia, Jake, and Stephen Junior.

Stephen was off duty and about to play golf with his brothers in Brooklyn when he heard the news about a plane hitting The World Trade Center.  Stephen drove his truck to The Brooklyn/Battery Tunnel, only to find it was already closed to traffic. Donning his full FDNY gear (weighing at least 60 pounds), Stephen ran through the tunnel to The World Trade Center. While attempting to recuse those trapped inside, Stephen died, along with 342 other FDNY’ers that day. Days later, Frank and his five remaining siblings, along with other family members formed The Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation, dedicated to helping the families of the first responder who were killed in action…not just in New York City but all across the United States.

As of 2020, The Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation have raised over 250 million dollars. I have never seen an organization get money to where it’s needed faster than The Stephen Siller Foundation Tunnel To Towers Foundation. Not in months. Not in weeks. We’re talking days later.
