Sharon Osbourne Recovering After Testing Positive For COVID-19

Sharon Osbourne has tested positive for COVID-19.

The co-host of The Talk revealed her diagnosis on Monday (December 14), stating that she’d been let out of the hospital and is now recovering from the novel coronavirus. Taking to Twitter to break the news, the 68-year-old assured fans she’s recuperating now and that her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, has tested negative for the disease.

"I wanted to share I’ve tested positive for Covid 19,” Sharon tweeted last night. “After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while 'The Talk' is on scheduled hiatus. Everyone please stay safe and healthy.”

As fans of the Osbournes know, Ozzy, 72, has suffered myriad health complications over the past year, so Sharon’s decision to quarantine elsewhere seems to be the best decision for the family at this time. This isn’t the first time someone close to the family has contracted the wide-spreading disease, as the couple went into lockdown in November after an employee who works at the pair’s home had contracted COVID-19.

Sharon is the latest in a string of celebrities to fall ill with the disease. In fact, Sharon's co-host on The Talk, Carrie Ann Inaba, revealed last week that she, too, was battling the disease, and described experiencing symptoms such as a fever, a bad cough, and "lots of aches and pains."

Ellen DeGeneres, Ashanti, Gloria Estefan, and more celebrities have all tested positive in recent weeks.
