Papa John’s Fans Divided Over New Menu Item

People love pizza, but when you start talking toppings, things can get pretty heated. Consider pineapple...beloved by many, but downright offensive to others. Now in the UK, there’s an ingredient stirring up serious debate at Papa John’s customers.

They’ve just launched a limited-edition pie, the “All Day Breakfast Pizza,” which comes with many staples found in a traditional English breakfast, including bacon, sausage, mushrooms, potatoes, and the one dividing people: baked beans.

The beans are a common part of a “Full English” breakfast, but some feel they don’t belong on a pizza, no matter what time of day it is. Comments on Twitter range from “It all sounds lovely apart from the beans” to “bin the beans,” while other Twitter users like the idea and want it to be more widely available. Papa Johns has had some fun with it on social media, too. When someone tweeted, “Full English with no egg? Blasphemy!” They joked, “You don’t want to eat this? You must be yolking!”
