Steel Panther Launches All Day Kitty Cam To Help L.A. Cat Rescue

Steel Panther is showing its softer side for #GivingTuesday, supporting Los Angeles' Heavenly Pets cat rescue in its mission to help homeless Southern California felines.

Each day, Steel Panther's All Day Kitty Cam will showcase playful kittens from the shelter that are currently available for adoption.

A site for the Kitty Cam is also accepting donations to help the rescue care for an influx of pets who have been abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With touring on pause because of the pandemic, the band says the Kitty Cam is an extension of its Gods of Pussy Animal Rescue Activation, which invited local animal rescues to collect donations at shows in each market the band played.

"...Steel Panther makes it no secret how much we love... cats," the band said in a statement. "We hope this stream can help our friends at Heavenly Pets and give people at home something cute to see."

Steel Panther's quarantine philanthropy extends to human beings, as well. As people in lockdown struggle to remember what day it is amid the monotony, the band is sharing daily vignettes to keep fans informed.
