Sharon Osbourne Rejects Rumors That Ozzy Osbourne Is Dying

Ozzy Osbourne And Corey Taylor Special Announcement

Sharon Osbourne says her husband Ozzy's health is steadily improving and the plan is still to have him resume his 'No More Tours 2' farewell tour in early-2020.

On a recent edition of The Talk, Sharon addressed a National Enquirer report that said Ozzy had taken a turn and would "be dead by Christmas" and another report by Radar Online that claimed the front man was riding "on a crazy train to an early death."

None of it is true, she says.

"How cold and callous are those headlines? Where's people's empathy?" Sharon asked. "It's not [true] by any stretch of the imagination. I've been open with everyone and so has Ozzy."

There's no doubt that the last 12 months have been brutal on the Black Sabbath front man and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Between a staph infection in his hand last October, to a severe flu that turned into pneumonia last winter, to a nighttime fall at home that forced him to undergo spinal surgery, Ozzy himself has admittedly wondered if his number is about to be called.

"He had a terrible, terrible bout of bad luck with his health, one thing after another," Sharon continued. "And then after his fall that he had, it's been awful for him. But he's getting better."

The grave reports come after Ozzy managed to feature on a hit song with Post Malone, finish writing and recording a new album and begin doing interviews again. That's significantly busier than your typical person on death's doorstep — even if he is a bonafide genetic mutant.

Sharon says the recent reports of Ozzy's demise came out of nowhere.

"He's recuperating," she insisted. "...And I'd just like to say something: Ozzy ain't going nowhere."

After spending most of 2019 rehabbing from his recent maladies, Ozzy is set to be back on tour January 31. Get all his tour dates here.
