Co-founding Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer missed the band's last two 'Deuces Are Wild' Las Vegas shows due to what was deemed a "minor injury" in a statement released ahead of Aerosmith's April 26 performance at the Park Theater at Park MGM.
Kramer unexpectedly sat out Aerosmith's April 23 Vegas show, as his longtime drum tech John Douglas filled in.
Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter John Katsilometes reported that the band attributed Kramer's absence to an injured shoulder. The band added that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame drummer is otherwise "totally fine."
Fans were understandably concerned for Kramer. The last time the drummer missed an Aerosmith concert was in 2014 when he had to undergo an angioplasty. At the time, his son Jesse Sky Kramer filled in for him. Joey later explained that his heart problems, like many people, are the result of bad genes.
Joey will have plenty of time to recover from his injury. Aerosmith's next run of 'Deuces Are Wild' 50th anniversary concerts begins June 19.
