Smashing Pumpkins Announce Summer Tour With Noel Gallagher, AFI

For the second summer in a row, Smashing Pumpkins will be leading one of the biggest alternative tour packages in North America.

The 16-city trek with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and AFI kicks off on August 8 in New Jersey, before making stops in major cities around North America and wrapping up on August 31.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8, at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.

Citi is the official pre-sale credit card for the tour. Citi cardmembers will have early access to tickets, beginning Tuesday, March 5, at 10 a.m. local time. For complete details, head to citiprivatepass.com.

Smashing Pumpkins celebrated its beloved '90s albums with the ambitious and massively successful Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour in the summer of 2018. The band sold-out some of the most famous venues in the world, including Madison Square Garden, The Forum and the United Center.

Shiny And Oh So Bright was the first Smashing Pumpkins tour in over 20 years to feature Pumpkins co-founders Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlain and James Iha.

The Pumpkins released its latest album, Shiny And Oh So Bright Vol. 1 / LP: No Poast. No Future. No Sun this past November. Corgan has since revealed that the latest version of the band has been crafting its next album over the past few months.

It's unclear if the new release will be ready by this summer.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds released their latest, Who Built the Moon? last fall. The album hit No. 1 in the U.K. and was certified gold within two weeks, marking the former Oasis guitarist Gallagher's 10th consecutive No. 1 album in the U.K.

Legendary alternative/post-hardcore band AFI will be touring in support of its The Missing Man EP. The Smashing Pumpkins tour dates are the only dates on the band's itinerary this year.
