Legendary southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd isn't ready to say goodbye just yet, adding 21 more concerts to its U.S. tour this year.
Lynyrd Skynyrd announced its farewell tour last summer.
The band has already toured the U.S. once. This year it will hit stops in Europe and Canada with many more U.S. shows on its itinerary.
Guitarist Gary Rossington told iHeartRadio last year that the band intended to make the most of its last go-around.
"It's take a long time to finish the farewell tour," he said. "It's fun and we're having a great time, and the audiences are great. Johnny [Van Zant, lead singer] says it every night; we're not going away forever. I mean, we might do a new CD after this tour. And, play some more for it here and there."
Van Zant went on to point out that The Beatles recorded several albums — including some of their most timeless masterpieces — after their final live concert.
Another major act that's "retiring," Ozzy Osbourne, has also insisted that his No More Tours 2 farewell tour will not include his final concert.
Members of the band have joked that Skynyrd's next tour will be it's "reunion" tour.
