Ace Frehley Accuses "A--hole" Gene Simmons of Groping His Wife

Whatever good will Ace Frehley and his fellow Kiss co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have built up over the past few years has worn off.

In a more than 300-word tirade posted to his Facebook page Tuesday evening, Frehley accused Simmons of groping and propositioning his wife at one of Simmons' Vault events last year in Los Angeles. Frehley writes that he found out about the incident weeks after it occurred, he added that "she was planning on pursuing a suit against you, but I told her to call it off!!!"

Frehley also accused Simmons and Stanley of costing him millions of dollars with "slanderous remarks" and trying to "derail" his solo career multiple times over the years.

One of those times was today, as the Spaceman sees it.

Simmons and Stanley were recently asked by Guitar World about their apparent plan to involve former Kiss members in their upcoming End of the Road tour, which kicks off Thursday.

"Ace and Peter have gotten three chances," said Simmons. "There were in and out of the band — fired — three times. For drugs, alcohol, bad behavior, being unprofessional ... they weren't carrying their load. ... So the short answer to your question is we'd love to have Ace and Peter join us here and there. And if they don't, it's not going to be because of us. But they're never going to be in Kiss again."

Simmons appears to be referring to statements Frehley made during a November visit to Q104.3 New York, in which the Spaceman said there's no way he'd appear with Kiss again as anything but a full-fledged member in his old costume, which he designed.

"'Oh, I've been straight for a million years,'" Simmons continued, presumably paraphrasing Frehley or Criss. "Terrific! Have a good life! ... Would we welcome Ace or Peter to jump up on stage for a song or two? Of course. Could we depend on Ace or Peter to do a full set night after night? Not on your f---ing life."

Frehley, who noted in his post that he's been sober for 12 years, also pointed out that he's been reliably performing full concerts for all of that period. He and Simmons toured together last summer.

He pushed back at Simmons' claim that he was fired from Kiss three times, noting he, in fact, quit ... twice "of my own free will, because you and Paul are control freaks, untrustworthy and were too difficult to work with!"

He added that "today's comments have made me realize you're just an a--hole and a sex addict who's being sued by multiple women, and you're just trying to sweep it all under the carpet."

Space Ace concluded that he deserves a sincere apology and a legitimate offer to rejoin to the band.
