Sonstein Sunday: Actor Jeffrey Wright Helps Vets / Vet. Angela Green

This week on the award winning Sonstein Sunday:

Emmy & Tony winner Jeffrey Wright (“Angels In America”/ ”Westworld”/ ”Boardwalk Empire”) helped veterans create a collaborative poem which they performed under his direction in D.C. The show was called “We are Not Done Yet,” and the making of it was turned into a doc of the same name, which is airing now on all HBO platforms. Wright and veteran April Harris join me on a special Veteran’s Day edition at 6:55 am.

And at 7:15: Angela Green of Wantagh has been an Army Reservist for 33 years. She was a NYPD rookie on September 11, 2001 when she responded to the terror attack at the Twin Towers. She has since done tours of Iraq & Afghanistan and sadly, has joined the thousands of First Responders fighting for their lives because of 9/11 health issues. Angela shares her story with us this week. Michael Barasch is her attorney. (Photo explanation: I taped the show on Halloween when I was dressed as a “Zombie Southern Belle.”)
