Ted Nugent, David Crosby Trade Barbs Over Nugent's Visit with Trump

David Crosby let us all know how he feels about a fellow rock and roll legend and President Donald Trump, and few will be surprised that he's not a big fan of either.

Just about any time a public figure visits the White House, no matter the President, it's a situation that's liable to lead to controversy.

So last week, Ted Nugent stopped by 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue (along with Kid Rock, as guests of Sarah Palin) to see President Trump.

On Thursday (4/20), Crosby Tweeted a photo of Nugent and Trump together with the caption "this picture says it all...the two most insincere smiles in history [sic] what a pair of assholes."

Nugent (via Rolling Stone) later responded during a radio interview.

WABC Radio's Rita Cosby informed Nugent of the Tweet during an interview Friday. He responded sharply, calling out Crosby's well-publicized issues with addiction.

"David Crosby, he's kind of a lost soul," Nugent said, "and he's done so much substance abuse throughout his life that his logic meter is gone. His reasoning and his depth of understanding is pretty much gone, so it doesn't surprise me, I feed quite sad for the guy."

Crosby didn't care for that and responded Friday.

This exchange shouldn't surprise anyone though. Crosby and Nugent are diametrically opposed politically and have for decades been outspoken in their respective beliefs.

As Ultimate Classic Rock points out, perhaps the only issue on which the pair agree is their mutual love of guns and the Second Amendment.
