Mick Jagger has tested positive for COVID-19 and the Rolling Stones have duly postponed their scheduled concert tonight (Monday, June 13) in Amsterdam.
The Stones made the announcement early Monday afternoon. Jagger was experiencing flu-like symptoms when he arrived at Johan Cruijff Area in the morning and subsequently tested positive for COVID.
"The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry for tonight's postponement, but the safety of the audience, fellow musicians and the touring crew has to take priority," the band said in a statement.
Jagger followed up with a statement of his own, writing: "We aim to reschedule the date ASAP and get back as soon as we can. Thank you all for you patience and understanding."
The Stones are celebrating their 60th anniversary this summer with a European tour. The band has dates on the books through July. See all the tour dates here.
