A new graphic novel that tells Jimi Hendrix's life's story is set to arrive this summer.
Originally released in Italy, the 144-page comic, Hendrix: Electric Requiem, was written by Mattia Colombara and Gianluca Maconi.
A preview of the book that you can view here shows that the novel begins in limbo, moments after Hendrix's death. It finds the guitarist recounting his life, from his rocky childhood, to his early obsession with music and his iconic rise to prominence.
The book is billed as a "gripping tale of music, personal demons and thirst for glory."
Publisher Ablaze writes that the comic balances tales of Hendrix's extraordinary triumphs with more human examples of his kind heart and introspective nature.
Hendrix" Electric Requiem will be released August 9. You can preorder it via Barnes and Noble or Amazon.
