Yes performing "Roundabout" with Geddy Lee at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony Friday night in Brooklyn, NY, was a one-of-a-kind moment that was almost too perfect to describe. Luckily, the song is over eight minutes long, so we had plenty of time to enjoy it!
Lee is big-time Yes fan; he credits the band with inspiring the progressive direction he and his Rush bandmates eventually took.
Watch below at how Lee faithfully reproduces Chris Squire's massive Rickenbacker plectrum-bass tone using only his fingers and a Fender!
The only thing that would have made this better is if Squire had been there to play it himself.
May he rest in peace.
