Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson says she's "hoping for the best" when it comes to the future of her band, which is currently on hiatus while she and her sister, Ann Wilson, pursue other projects.
Wilson said in a recent interview with Billboard that she had been hoping to tour with Heart all summer this year, but Ann's solo project and other factors meant they wouldn't have the time.
Nancy seemed to admit later in the sit-down that the situation is more complicated than scheduling, however.
Ann's husband, Dean Stuart Wetter, was charged with assault last year after allegedly punching and choking Nancy's teenage sons during a Heart show last August.
Of the case, Nancy said, "Time is the healer. I'm just wishing and hoping for the best. The thing to do is go forward, and be positive and stay as affirmative about everything as possible."
So while another Heart tour is out of Nancy's hands, she's staying busy with her new band, Roadcase Royale, which includes several members from the last live band with which Heart toured.
"Half of them are still in Roadcase Royale right now," she said. "So I'm happy with this band and I hope to be faced with the challenge of figuring out what Heart’s gonna do next. … I want it to be there."
