Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich says his band's just-announced North American WorldWired Tour is going to be one of the biggest spectacles they have ever put on a stage.
Ulrich says the band wanted to make every show an event.
"It's about size and spectacle, but there's a little bit of a minimalist approach to it."
Who knows what that means, but Lars continued:
"It's big and it's just f***ing crazy and overwhelming and there are a few bells and whistles that are gonna make it unique," he said.
"Full stadium runs can sometimes be a little intimidating," Ulrich told Rolling Stone. "There are all these things to worry about...We just threw caution to the wind. Doing a stadium run seemed like the perfect thing on the back of how well this record has been received and all the good will that's out there in Metallica's world right now."

The drummer added that the band was using some of the production it used in Minneapolis as a jumping-off point for this tour.
