Rex Brown fondly looked back on his halcyon days with late-Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul in a recent throwback photo shared via Twitter.
The black & white photo taken by Joe Giron depicts young Rex and Vinnie grinning aboard an old motor boat on a lake in Texas.
Rex's caption raised plenty of questions about the boat's ultimate demise, but it's clear the pair of high school chums got plenty of use out of the vessel.
"Me & Vinnie Paul back in our boating adventure days!!" Brown wrote. "Forgot to put the plug in one day & sunk that old monster... Grateful memories!!"
The post comes about a week after Brown announced his new signature Thunderbird bass with Gibson and news broke that he and Phil Anselmo are plotting a Pantera celebration tour.
Brown and Anselmo will be touring North America in 2023 on Pantera's catalog with help from longtime friends Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante filling in for the late-Abbott brothers Vinnie Paul and 'Dimebag' Darrell.
