Twitter Is Loving The New Bruce Springsteen Emoji Ahead Of New Album

With just over a week to go until Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band release their new album, Letter To You, Twitter is celebrating with a new emoji depicting The Boss in one of his most iconic poses.

Just Tweet something with hashtag #Springsteen and Twitter will add an emoji of Bruce with his hand over his head and a guitar slung around shoulders, presumably singing about New Jersey.

If this doesn't seem like a big deal to you, just look at Twitter for five seconds and you'll understand how badly everything else is going this year.

The emoji doesn't seem to show up in embedded Tweets, so you can just click on The Boss's account to check it out or search the #Springsteen tag.

Reporter Tom Fitzgerald of Fox 5 D.C. — a New Jersey native himself — noted that Twitter indeed modeled the emoji after Annie Leibovitz's famous "Born in the USA" photograph.

Fans celebrated the new emoji by sharing some of their favorite Springsteen lyrics, memories and memorabilia.

Letter To You, Springsteen's 20th studio album, is due out Friday, October 23, via Columbia Records.

Springsteen has so far revealed two singles in advance of the album, "Letter To You" and "Ghosts." A documentary on the making of the album, which was written in only a few weeks and recorded in Springsteen's home studio, is due out via AppleTV the same day.
