Zakk Wylde's "Severe Illness" Forces Black Label Society to Postpone Shows

Black Label Society has postponed performances this week in Montreal and Toronto due to a "severe illness" from which frontman Zakk Wylde is suffering.

But the shows will go on for Black Label Soceity's tour mates Corrosion of Conformity and Eyehategod, who will instead perform at Les Foufounes Électriques in Montreal tonight (January 8) and at The Opera House in Toronto on Tuesday tomorrow (January 9) sans BLS.

Corrosion of Conformity made the announcement via its official Facebook page, while Black Label Society noted the postponement on the pages for the two respective events.

"Due to severe illness and Zakk Wylde’s inability to perform, Black Label Society must postpone both the Montreal and Toronto shows until summer of 2018," read the post. "

New dates will be announced soon, please hold onto your tickets, we will be back to perform for our fans as quickly as possible."

This morning Black Label Society released another track, "Trampled Down Below," in advance of the release of the band's 10th studio album, Grimmest Hits, due January 19. "Trampled" joins "All That Once Shined" and the lead single, "Room of Nightmares," as the other pre-release tracks.

The current jaunt is Wylde's first since cutting short a press tour in December due to concerns over wildfires threatening his California home.
