CNN is reporting that late Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell’s body will be flown from Michigan to Los Angeles today, Sunday, and the singer will be laid to rest at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on May 26th. One source stated: "The family is thinking about a [public] memorial for fans, but is coping now with their loss and the funeral service." The medical examiner in Detroit says Cornell apparently committed suicide by hanging in his hotel room Wednesday night, May 18th, after Soundgarden played a show there. Cornell was 52 years old.
