Interview: Welles Talks 'Codeine' Album & Performs "Life Like Mine," "Seventeen"

Jehsea Welles of Welles dropped by Q104.3's "Out of the Box" with Jonathan Clarke on a recent trip to New York City.

Welles talked about his early introduction to rock music, becoming a Beatles fan at age seven thanks to a Sgt. Pepper's cassette, his upbringing in Arkansas and the artistic community he ran with in college.

Welles also treated the show to solo versions of his songs, "Life Like Mine" and "Seventeen."
