Heart Planning Tour, New Album For 2020

After returning this summer from their longest break in years to an extensive North American tour, Heart's Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson say they are looking to keep moving forward in 2020.

Next year will include more touring, to visit the places they didn't return to this past year, and new music.

Nancy tells Ultimate Classic Rock that Heart has time off until the spring. But in the meantime, she plans to work out some tunes that she's been kicking around for a while now.

"I've got a lot of song ideas in my head and in my notes on my phone, and [I've been] singing into my phone," she said. "So I think that new Heart material would be really great..."

Heart's last album, 2016's Beautiful Broken, was a collection of rearrangements of some of the Wilson sisters' favorite classic Heart songs. An album of new material would be the group's first since 2012.

While Heart does not have any tour dates announced yet for 2020, Nancy suggested the band is planning to hit the road in Canada, with "probably some European dates and some other festivals" as well. She said Heart will be careful to not repeat itself two summers in a row.

Ann and Nancy are on the same page as far as new music is concerned. In a Blabbermouth Q&A in October, Ann said there was new music "rolling around" in her own head.

During Heart's hiatus, Nancy formed Roadcase Royale with former members of Prince's live band. Ann did a covers album called, Immortal.
