Jethro Tull front man Ian Anderson has announced plans to celebrate his legendary band's 50th anniversary with a North American Tour.
The 50th Anniversary show will stop at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, on Saturday, September 14, 2019.

Jethro Tull first performed on February 2, 1968, at London's Marquee Club. The band went on to become one of the biggest acts on the planet, selling over 60 million albums worldwide.
"In the USA — many would argue — 2019 is really the 50th anniversary for U.S. fans since we first visited in 1969," Anderson said via a press release.
Tull first toured North America in November and December of 1969. Anderson began celebrating the group's 50th anniversary last year.
Today, Tull is comprised of flautist Anderson alongside bassist David Goodier, keyboardist John O'Hara, guitarist Florian Opahle and drummer Scott Hammond.
Anderson also tours "surprise virtual guests" for the anniversary shows.
The band is also teasing a 50th anniversary book next year, as well as a 40th anniversary reissue of Tull's seminal 1979 album, Stormwatch.
