Students Re-Create Van Halen's First Album

Van Halen's self-titled 1978  debut album was the basis for a recording project for the students of  the Los Rios Rock School in San Juan Capistrano, California.

The kids took a field trip to Sunset Sound in Los Angeles where they re-recorded the album in its entirety. It was at Sunset, in the exact same room, where VH recorded the album in 1977.

Working  off the records that the studio kept, the students were able to  recreate, as closely as possible, the exact same sessions -- minus of  course some possible mind-altering substances and/or liquids that Van  Halen was known for partaking in.
