The Godfather of Shock Rock stopped by our Q104.3 Rock and Roll Morning Show this week, and well...he's just the best!
Alice Cooper spoke with Jim Kerr and Shelli Sonstein about the Alice character he's inhabited for over 50 years. He says he enjoys his live shows as much as ever, because when he's in character, he has no age.
"When I'm doing ["I'm Eighteen"], which is the second to last song in the show—with a crutch," he laughs, "At that point Alice is 18 years old and he's angry. And I don't even think about the fact that I'll be 70 next year. And the audience believes it."
Cooper elaborates on his artistry and dedication to showmanship, as well as how he developed the Alice Cooper persona and how his new album came about.
