A 23-year-old man allegedly assaulted another man during an argument over which sci-fi franchise is better: Star Wars or Star Trek, police say.
Jerome Dewayne Whyte was arrested July 1 on assault and battery and possession of marijuana charges, according to Oklahoma City Police.
Whyte and another man began arguing in the living room of an Oklahoma City apartment, reports Fox 25 OKC News.
The victim reportedly left the room in frustration, telling Whyte "You're just a trick."
At that point, Whyte allegedly followed the victim and shoved him to the ground. The victim got back up and Whyte shoved him again. He then wrapped his arm around the victim's neck and began choking him, police say.
Whyte let go when the victim pulled out a pocket knife.
Police responded and Whyte was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
