Eddie Vedder Reportedly Paid Over $28,000 to Finish a Recent Concert

Eddie Vedder has a reputation as a passionate frontman who leaves it all on the stage.

At a recent solo show in Dublin, Ireland, the Pearl Jam singer also left behind about $28,000 of his own money.

In order to give the fans their money's worth, and to keep from cutting down his expansive 30-plus-song setlist to make curfew, Vedder opted to pay the fine. And that money wasn't coming out of his crew members' checks.

NME reports that at one point during the show Vedder stepped off stage to sign a check for €25,000 (nearly $32,000) so he would be permitted to continue.

About €22,100 of the fine was burdened by Vedder himself. It's not clear what entity covered the rest.

He has yet to confirm the rumor.
