Metallica Wants Lady Gaga to Perform With Them Again

Despite technical issues with their collaboration that may have been caused by Lady Gaga’s dancers, Metallica has reportedly invited the pop megastar to join the group and perform with them whenever she’s able.

Drummer Lars Ulrich has offered Lady Gaga a spot (of sorts) in the group, according to a report by WJLA ABC 7, Washington D.C.

Ulrich previously joked with Access Hollywood that Metallica was considering making Gaga (already a huge fan) a “permanent member.”

Guitarist Kirk Hammett added that in the days leading up to the Grammys, Gaga came to rehearsal with a great attitude and willing to work and try different arrangements.

Bassist Robert Trujillo vouched for Gaga’s fandom, “She’s got a lot of edge and attitude, which is important for what we do. And she actually came to see us play…She was rocking out.”

“This is only the start,” said Ulrich.

And it wouldn't be the first time Metallica did a somewhat left of center collaboration. In 2011, Metallica recorded an album with Lou Reed called Lulu. And last year, the band performed an acoustic set with Neil Young for charity!
