Ringo Starr is canceling his remaining 2022 tour dates after getting COVID for the second time.

The former Beatle postponed his tour in June after members of his band, including Steve Lukather and Edgar Winter tested positive for the virus.

Ringo himself remained COVID-free until a couple weeks ago. His first positive test forced him to cancel five shows in Canada. He then tested negative on October 10 before testing positive again yesterday.

The latest positive test has forced him to call off three gigs on the West Coast and two shows in Mexico.

"I'm sure you'll be as surprised as I was," Starr wrote via Twitter in a update. "I tested positive again for COVID. The rest of the tour is off. I send you peace and love."

Ringo released his four-song EP3 in July. The record include collaborations between himself and Lukather, 4 Non Blondes' Linda Perry, saxophonist Dave Koz and renowned flamenco guitarist Jose Antonio Rodriguez.
