His tour with The Circle is scheduled to kick of on July 9, but there's not a lot of hope that the coronavirus pandemic will be over in time for the tour to begin. So for now, Sammy Hagar & The Circle are jamming with each other remotely to keep fans (and themselves) entertained.
The band's latest quarantine cover is a rendition of AC/DC's Bon Scott-era classic "Whole Lotta Rosie," on which Hagar handled lead vocals and lead guitar duties.
"When we're on tour, these are the songs we've been jamming to backstage for years to warm up," Hagar said of the fifth in the band's covers series. "We warm up for about an hour before we go on stage, and play everything from James Brown and AC/DC to the Bee Gees, The Who and Hank Williams ... you name it. So until we can get to our live shows, these Lockdown Sessions are a great way to keep the band close and keep our chops up."
