TOOL Announces Fall Tour To Support 'Fear Inoculum'

2017 Governors Ball Music Festival - Day 3

Tool has announced a North American tour this fall in support of its first studio album in 13 years.

Fear Inoculum was released the same day the band revealed news of its tour via its website.

The 26-date tour starts with the band's previously announced performance at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California, on October 13. It wraps up on November 25 in Washington, D.C.

Guitarist Adam Jones told Chris Jericho during a recent appearance in the Talk Is Jericho podcast that the band has lots of ideas for live production surrounding, Fear Inoculim, but needed to wait and see how the album would sell before getting a budget.

There's little question Fear Inoculum will hit No. 1 on the rock chart, as the band quickly sold out of pre-sales for the new album. After bringing its catalog to music streaming platforms earlier in August, Tool quickly began one of the most-streamed artists in the world.

The fall tour dates are all arena shows and likely to sell out quickly. Tickets go on-sale Friday, September 6, at 10 a.m. local time. The band has also announced a "limited pre-sale on Wednesday, Sept. 4" at the band's web store.
