Following more than a year of speculation, Paul McCartney has announced his 2022 'Got Back' U.S. tour.
The former Beatle's 13-city return to arenas and stadiums as a solo act begins April 28 with his first ever show in Spokane, Washington. The tour's finale will take place June 16 in East Rutherford, NJ, where Paul will play MetLife Stadium for the first time since 2016.
“I said at the end of the last tour that I’d see you next time. I said I was going to get back to you. Well, I got back!” McCartney said in a statement.
To celebrate McCartney's return, MetLife Stadium has designed an unprecedented tribute, painting each end zone with 'PAUL MCCARTNEY" in 20-foot-tall white letters. "GOT BACK" and "JUNE 16" is being painted at the 50-yard line. And "#PAULMCCARTNEYGOTBACK" is being emblazoned on each sideline.
Fans can come enjoy MetLife's McCartney makeover during three open sessions next week — Tuesday, February 22, from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.; Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Feb. 24, with a time TBD.

Tickets for all 'Got Back' tour dates will be on sale to the public beginning Friday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. local time.
