Beginning the week of January 25th, Citi Field will open as an around-the-clock vaccination site.
The home of the Mets will be able to do between 5,000 and 7,000 vaccinations a day.
“We welcome Queens residents, we welcome all New Yorkers, we even welcome Yankees fans,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said.
Mets owner Steve Cohen said he wanted to support the vaccination effort.
“The goal is to just the vaccine in people’s arms so we can get this crisis over with and get back to living a normal life,” Cohen said.
