Directed by David Fincher, the man behind “Fight Club”, “Seven” and “Gone Girl”, this movie centers on 1930’s Hollywood, seen through the eyes of the man who co-wrote what many call the GOAT film, The 1941 Orson Welles classic “Citizen Kane”. Orson Welles produced, directed, starred and co-wrote “Citizen Kane”. Gary Oldman & Amanda Seyrfried star with Trent Reznor scoring. I can’t wait to watch it. It’s getting 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Nomadland” stars the great Frances McDormand as a woman who embarks on a journey to the American West after losing everything in the Great Recession of 2008. It’s aa migrant drama focusing on what it’s like to be an outlier in America. Getting 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, there’s buzz that “Nomadland” could bring McDormand her 3rd Oscar.
And a heads up that Ahmet Zappa and Alex Winter of “Bill & Ted” movie fame guest at 7am on “Sonstein Sunday” , talking about the doc “Zappa”, a love letter to Frank Zappa- a man way ahead of his time.
