Netflix Is Raising The Price Of Their Standard And Premium Plans In The US

Netflix is raising the prices of its standard and premium plans.

Their standard plan was previously $13 a month and is now going up to $14, while their premium plan has been raised from $16 to $18 a month. The basic service plan will be going unchanged at $9 a month.

For people already subscribing to the services, the new pricing will start over the next two months and according to CNBC and Netflix will alert users to the change 30 days ahead of the up-charge.

This comes as no surprise, as the company raised prices in Canada earlier this month and analysts have been predicting for several months that a price increase would be on the wqay. Netflix also recently got rid of their long-running free trial period in the US.

The last price increase was in 2019, when Netflix raised the prices on all of their plans in the US.
