Adam Ferrara: Comedy In Quarantine, 'Nurse Jackie' And How To Help People

Actor/comedian Adam Ferrara is doing his best to keep busy during his Southern California quarantine.

Ferrara told Q104.3 New York's Jim Kerr and Shelli Sonstein via a Zoom call Thursday morning that he was on the road for about three weeks before the pandemic arrived in the U.S. He was burnt out from traveling and looking forward to some time at home with his wife.

Like most Americans living under stay-home orders, Ferrara's too anxious to feel like he's on vacation, but he's gaining weight like he's been on a cruise ship.

"I'm gonna come out of this looking like the guy who ate Adam Ferrara," he said.

Busy with a number of projects this spring, Ferrara says it's also been strange to have his life and career grind to a halt. He concedes, however, that the situation has forced him to try and give himself a break.

"I think I'm gonna come out with a better perspective, 'cause I blame myself for everything. I just beat myself up, and there's no way I could blame myself for this. Even the little crazy-maker in my head just went, 'Look, this wasn't you.'"
