WHO & Global Citizen Announce Star-Studded 'One World: Together at Home'

During this difficult and uncertain time in the world, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the World Health Organization and Global Citizen have teamed up for a special event on Saturday, April 18th, "One World: Together At Home," featuring many of your favorite stars to help celebrate and support the brave healthcare workers who are risking their lives daily in all of their live-saving work on the front lines as they battle the spread of the virus.

The organizations have collaborated with Lady Gaga on the event to curate performances and appearances for the star-studded special from celebrities including Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Burna Boy, Coldplay's Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, Finneas, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan and Stevie Wonder. And serving as hosts for the evening are Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

"One World: Together At Home" will be broadcast on April 18th at 8pm ET/5pm PT on iHeartMedia stations, ABC, NBC, Viacom, as well as Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, LiveXLive, Twitter, YouTube and more.

During a press conference live-streamed from her home, Lady Gaga said, "We are all so very grateful to the healthcare professionals across the country and the world. This global pandemic is a catastrophe. I'm praying for them and also those who are sick." She added, "I would like to send my prayers to people who are losing their jobs and having a hard time feeding themselves and their children."

Lady G also announced that $35 million has been raised over the last week with donations coming in from corporate leaders, tech companies, philanthropists and more. The multi-talented star said, "We want to raise the money before we go on air. When we do go on air, put your wallets away, your credit cards away, and enjoy the show."
