Nita Strauss would be the first person to tell you that her star first began to rise after she got the gig in Alice Cooper's band.

Strauss never fails to praise her boss during interviews, not just for giving her the opportunity of a lifetime but also for balancing his iconic status with a deeply kind and generous personality.

In a recent interview with Kerrang! surrounding her debut solo album, Controlled Chaos, Strauss noted all her Alice Cooper bandmates know they're lucky to share a stage with him.

"We're a supporting act to Alice," she said. "There's this invisible line on stage that we don't cross. If Alice wants us to take the front stage, we will run with it, but it's his show, and we're conscious of that."

She continued, that despite Alice's status as one of the biggest rock stars in history, he often says he's lucky to have his band supporting him.

"Alice could be a jerk," Strauss said. "You always hear about the rockstars that aren't even on Alice's level who are just jerks. Then there's Alice, who could be enjoying his dinner, and when a fan comes up to him to tell them their stories...he'll put the fork down, look at them, and then start a conversation...He really knows that without those fans, none of us would be here."

Thanks in part to her career with Alice Cooper, Strauss in 2018 because the first woman to ever have an artist signature model with Ibanez. Her Ibanez JIVA is now available in guitar shops worldwide.
