Green Day Surprise Fans With Intimate Show In Tiny California Bar: Watch

When Green Day fans packed into Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa, California over the weekend, they expected to see Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt play a set of epic cover songs with their side project The Coverups. What they weren't expecting was a full-blown Green Day concert. After playing songs from the likes of the Ramones, The Clash, and David Bowie, they brought out drummer Tré Cool to play a couple songs by their other side project, Foxboro Hot Tubs. Then they treated fans to a six-song set from their main project, which included everything from their new single "Father of All..." to "Welcome to Paradise."

Green Day are gearing up to release their 13th studio album Father of All... on February 9, 2020, and then plan to embark on the Hella Mega Tour — a massive stadium tour with Weezer and Fall Out Boy — over the summer. Tickets to the tour are available now.
