“It Chapter Two”
A conclusion to the highest-grossing horror movie of all time. 27 years later, Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard) returns to terrorize the town Derry, again. Now adults, the Losers Club reunites where it all began with James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader starring as the grown-up kids. It’s getting 72% on Rotten Tomatoes, not as high as the 67% the original got 2 years ago. Because the original was so huge, taking in $700m (!!!) worldwide, they made this one even longer. It’s just under 3 hours long!
“Night Hunter”
You’d think a movie starting Sir Ben Kingsley (“Ghandi”) and Henry Cavill (Superman in “Man of Steel”) AND Stanley Tucci would have something going for it but this thriller actually gets just an 8% rating from Rotten Tomatoes. One critic called it worse than mediocre. The word “ridiculous” was used by more than a few.The only compliment I saw was that it’s 97 minutes long. In case you still care, the story centers on a police Lieutenant and his force and a local vigilante all caught up in a dangerous scheme involving a recently arrested troubled man who’s accused of abducting and killing women.
