New Jersey Power Outages Could Continue Until Weekend

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is meeting with utilities, as thousands remain without power in the state.

Officials have warned residents that power may not be fully restored until the weekend.

JCP&L still had about 50,000 outages as of Wednesday morning. PSE&G had 13,000 after Monday night’s vicious storms. At one point, more than 300,000 people in the state were without power.

“Our team will continue to work closely with the utilities to get power restored as quickly and safely as possible,” Murphy announced via Twitter.
