Watch TOOL Debut Two New Songs During Florida Concert

There may have never been a more highly anticipated Tool set than the legendary alternative band's performance Sunday night at the Welcome To Rockville festival in Jacksonville.

The band debuted two new songs, believed to be called "Descending" and "Invincible," in a set that was in doubt earlier in the day due to thunderstorms.

The May 5 concert marked the first time Tool has performed new material live in over a decade. The band's long-awaited and still un-named follow-up to 2006's 10,000 Days was completed earlier this year. As fans eagerly await official news about the new album's release date, almost all the information about the new material has trickled out via the social media accounts of singer Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Adam Jones.

Keenan and Jones both strongly hinted last week at the possibility that Tool would debut new material at Welcome to Rockville, with Jones posting video of himself practicing a new riff.

You can check out the new tunes in the video players embedded above.

Tool has performed an instrumental rendition of "Descending" in the past.

Earlier this year, Keenan estimated the new album would arrive between May and July. If he is correct, the band is likely close to announced a release date. Keenan has also promised "More focused updates" as the album comes closer to fruition.

The Rockville gig was the first in a summer tour the band just began. Get all the tour dates here.
