ZZ Top Will Take 50th Anniversary Tour To Jones Beach In September

ZZ Top's 50th Anniversary Tour will make a stop at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on September 19 with fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick serving as main support.

The longest-serving lineup in the history of rock music will kick off the five decade celebration on August 16 and continue the trek through late-October, playing a selection of album cuts and hit singles, like "La Grange," "Legs," "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Tush."

Billy F. Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard formed ZZ Top in Texas in 1969. Over the ensuing 50 years, the Tres Hombres have released 15 studio album, sold 30 million records and performed thousands of concerts worldwide.

"It's been five decades, and I think we're starting to get pretty good at all this!" Gibbons said in a statement. "The beards, Frank excepted, are perhaps a bit longer, yet nothing else has changed. We're keeping it that way."

Tickets go on sale, April 19, via Ticketmaster.com and select Ticketmaster outlets.
