Sonstein Sunday: "Hotel Mumbai" / "Gloria Bell"

This week on the award winning Sonstein Sunday:

At 6:55am: “Hotel Mumbai” is one of the best films so far this year. This thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Amazingly, it’s based on a real-life attack on Mumbai 11 years ago with 170 killed. The extraordinary heroism displayed by the staff of The Taj Hotel is beyond inspiring. I am proud to have first time director Anthony Maras join me.

As many of us know, dating in midlife is a challenge. Julianne Moore and John Turturro co-star in “Gloria Bell”, which is actually an English language remake of a Chilean film made 6 years ago, except this time it’s set in L.A. The issues sure haven’t changed in 9 years! Director Sebastian Lelio won the “Best Foreign Language” Oscar last year for his brilliant “A Fantastic Woman”- a film about and starring a transgender woman. Lelio joins me at 7:15am.

Listen to me every Sunday at 6:55am on Q104.3, or anytime, on my Sonstein Sessions podcast on the iHeartRadio app!
