Ozzy Osbourne Hospitalized With "Complications From the Flu"

Ozzy Osbourne has been hospitalized for the second time in the last five months.

The Prince of Darkness is still fighting a severe flu and was taken to the hospital with "complications," Sharon Osbourne confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

Ozzy was admitted to Keck Hospital of USC on Monday, reports The Blast. Sharon reportedly missed the following day's taping of her daytime show The Talk while she stayed with her ailing husband.

"As some of you my have heard, Ozzy was admitted to the hospital following some complications from the flu," Sharon wrote in a statement. "His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love."

Ozzy recently postponed his entire European tour due to his illness. He initially announced that just the first four shows would be affected, but his doctor was reportedly concerned that the travel and lack of rest on the road could make him especially vulnerable to pneumonia.

A week before the first postponement, Ozzy shared with fans that he had coughed so hard he broke a blood vessel in his eye.

Fans are understandably concerned about the Ozzman, since he fought off a near-fatal staph infection in his hand last fall. Ozzy had to postpone shows due to that episode as well.

At this time, Ozzy's next scheduled tour date is March 9 in Australia.
